Coding Notes

This term is listed under "Aortic valve disease" in ICD-11 and not under "Structural developmental anomaly of heart or great vessels". In the IPCCC, the parent term would be a non-congenital term: "Aortic valvar abnormality" 09.15.00, the equivalent of "Aortic valve disease" in ICD-11. There exists "Congenital aortic valvar prolapse" in the long list of the IPCCC (09.15.50) but this congenital term does not exist in ICD-11.
