Definition

A congenital cardiac malformation in which there is an inlet ventricular septal defect with malalignment between the atrial septum and the postero-inferior part of the muscular ventricular septum, in the absence of a common atrioventricular junction, such that there is overriding with or without straddling of the tricuspid valve.
