Modality: Anatomic specimen

Orientation: Lateral view

Description: The tricuspid valve is viewed laterally through the opened, dilated, morphologically right atrium. The tricuspid valve is dysplastic with thickened, rolled edges. The right atrial dilatation is indicative of the tricuspid valve insufficiency. The oval fossa is probe patent.  This specimen also has anomalies of the pulmonary veins, illustrated in its companion web page.
