Modality: Anatomic specimen Orientation: Anterior view Description: This anterior, anatomic view of the aorta and pulmonary trunk demonstrates their normal relationship as they exit the ventricular mass. The arterial duct is no longer patent and has become ligamentous (arterial ligament). The brachiocephalic arteries arise from the aortic arch in the usual fashion and the arch is leftward.
