Description: Illustrated here is total anomalous pulmonary venous connection, both above and below the diaphragm. The left pulmonary veins return to the heart via a vertical vein which drains into the left brachiocephalic vein. The right pulmonary veins drain below the diaphragm through a vein that extends to the portal vein. A left sided inferior caval vein and right sided hepatic veins are identified as they extend toward the right sided, morphologically right atrium (RmRA) in this heart with isomerism of the right atrial appendages.
